Walrus releases version 0.6, with the main highlights focusing on two areas: first, thoroughly solving the pain points of multi-cloud for enterprises; second, making the user experience more seamless.

In terms of multi-cloud coverage, the new version natively supports Azure and GCP, in addition to the existing Alibaba Cloud and AWS, covering all four major public cloud platforms. More flexibly, users can also integrate other cloud providers through custom connectors, which is very friendly for enterprises with complex multi-cloud strategies.

Improvements at the experience level are also quite practical. The new resource change preview feature allows users to visually see what will be modified before the official upgrade, effectively reducing the risk of misoperation. The batch addition of project members significantly simplifies team collaboration workflows, greatly improving operational efficiency.

As a fully open-source application management platform, Walrus 0.6 continues to adopt the Apache 2.0 license, and deployment is very simple—just one Docker command to get it running. Future plans include a focus on deep Kubernetes integration, including seamless CRD connection and Helm Chart installation, providing more flexible options for cloud-native deployment and infrastructure construction.
