The Arc Raiders development team recently clarified their design philosophy regarding game mechanics. When asked why they didn't include competitive PVP features like leaderboards, the developers' answer was straightforward: the core of this game is not about player versus player competition. This stance is quite interesting and reflects the different understandings among many blockchain game teams about game positioning. Not all blockchain games need to emphasize ranking competitions; some projects focus more on cooperative exploration or other gameplay dimensions. This choice by Arc Raiders indicates that the developers clearly defined their target audience and the soul of the game during the design phase, rather than blindly adding popular features.
