Lately, there's been a lot of talk about how crypto Twitter comes across to the mainstream. Here's the thing though—maybe it's not about the platform. Maybe it's about us.
The way some people post, the endless hype cycles, the bridge arbitrage spam... it's gotten ridiculous. You look at active accounts and it feels smaller every month. There's what, 40 solid contributors left? And we wonder why we're not taken seriously elsewhere.
The uncomfortable truth? We're the bottleneck. The community sets the tone. If everyone talking about crypto markets, DeFi protocols, or blockchain tech just talked like actual humans instead of gambling-addled trolls, maybe—just maybe—we wouldn't get laughed out of the room when mainstream media covers this space.
It starts with being honest about what we're doing wrong.

That's really hitting home... Watching those "hundredfold coins" all day long, I feel like muting half of the people. Only 40 that can actually speak? Feels like that's still too many.

Honestly, 40 truly intelligent people shouting at tens of thousands of parrots and gamblers—what can they really change... Self-reflection is correct, but the real issue is that the ecosystem itself attracts this kind of people.

Exactly right, 40 true contributors supporting the entire ecosystem is incredible... Others are either doing bridge arbitrage brainwashing or just gamblers shouting.

ngl that really hits home... We really need to take a good look in the mirror; relying on 40 genuine people to support the entire scene is just too pathetic.

Honestly, 40 truly valuable people are supporting the entire community, and that number is quite disheartening. Seeing those bridge arbitrage spam every day makes me not want to scroll through the timeline anymore.
