Well said, that's the point. Too many people are scared into thinking that understanding the crypto world requires advanced mathematics, but it's actually just peer-to-peer transfers. The rest are just some who want to scam newcomers bragging.

That's correct, but there's a problem—what you call "freedom" has already been thoroughly undermined in terms of mining pool relationships and mempool monitoring. How many people are actually solo mining these days? Arbitrage opportunities are the real deal; in a gas war, who wouldn't pay the fees obediently?
