On-chain storage has always been a bottleneck. Jamming massive files directly into the blockchain simply doesn't work at scale—never has, never will.

That's where specialized layers come in. Taking heavy lifting like video files, AI training datasets, NFT media, and historical chain data off-chain makes sense. These workloads need a dedicated home, not a bloated ledger.

Meanwhile, the execution layer stays lean and focused. One does storage, another handles transactions and state ownership. It's a clean division of labor.

When each component specializes in what it does best, the whole system runs smarter. The layered approach isn't a compromise—it's how scalable Web3 infrastructure actually gets built.
