As the number of video files at home keeps increasing, USB drives and external hard drives pile up on the desk, and I have to shuffle data between various devices every time, which is quite annoying.

Recently, I found a pretty good solution. Upload your kids' growth videos to the Walrus storage network. The price is surprisingly cheap—1TB of storage for just $0.5 per year, which is much cheaper than traditional cloud services. The upload speed is also fast; the progress bar quickly completes.

Even more convenient, Walrus supports lightweight node deployment. Just connect an old laptop to power, and it can run. No complicated setup needed. While the kids play nearby, I can just tap a few keys at my desk to get it done. This not only secures the data but also allows me to become part of the network.

And there's an extra benefit. The system issues $WAL tokens as incentives, which can be directly exchanged for physical items on the platform—recently, I used my rewards to get a child safety seat, achieving two goals at once.

For users like me who need long-term storage of family videos and important files, this combo is quite practical. Low cost, simple operation, and passive income—it's really changed my view on storage.
