Half-Millennium Legacy Meets Modern Finance: Historic Joseph Sassoon Group Forms Strategic Alliance with Raffles Financial
A 500-year-old investment powerhouse has joined forces with Raffles Financial to reshape corporate finance services across two continents. The Joseph Sassoon Group, tracing its lineage back to 1512, has partnered with Raffles Financial Americas to establish Sassoon Raffles Financial (SRF), a new entity designed to serve the Americas and Europe with corporate advisory and public listing expertise.
A Dynasty of Global Finance
The Joseph Sassoon Group stands as one of the world’s oldest privately controlled investment management firms. Operating for over five centuries, this merchant banking institution has financed some of history’s most transformative infrastructure projects. The family enterprise helped fund the Suez Canal construction in 1854, established the first Ottoman railway systems, and co-founded both the National Bank of Egypt and Banque du Caire.
Under the joint venture structure, Raffles Financial Americas and Joseph Sassoon Group each retain a 50% stake in SRF. David Sassoon, serving as Executive Chairman of JSG, will co-lead the venture alongside Nicolas Standish from Raffles Financial, supported by independent directors and a specialized team of investment professionals.
Strategic Expansion into New Markets
The partnership aims to significantly strengthen RFA’s capabilities in three regions: the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East-North Africa corridor. By combining resources, the alliance positions itself to deliver enhanced financial solutions for mid-sized enterprises seeking public listings, acquisition strategies, or capital raising.
Key initiatives under the agreement include launching the Joseph Sassoon Asia Fund based in Singapore, with investment mandates spanning pre-IPO securities, digital assets, property funds, and REITs. The fund is slated for listing on one of Singapore’s licensed digital asset exchanges. Additionally, the venture will establish Joseph Sassoon Accelerator programs targeting Middle Eastern and Asian growth-stage companies preparing for North American IPOs or reverse takeovers.
Vision for Client Value
Albert Fan, CEO of Raffles Financial Group, emphasized the strategic importance: the combined resources are expected to deliver substantial value for clients pursuing expansion or capital markets access. Meanwhile, Raffles Financial Americas’ leadership highlighted how the Sassoon family’s extensive history and global network would benefit clients seeking expert guidance in complex transactions.
About the Partners:
Raffles Financial Group (CSE: RICH | FSE: 4VO | OTCQX: RAFFF) is listed on three major exchanges and specializes in corporate finance advisory, IPO consulting, merger & acquisition support, and digital asset services. Raffles Financial Americas represents a collaboration between Raffles Financial Group and Stamatis Capital, focusing on mid-market companies across North America.
The Joseph Sassoon Group operates as a full-service merchant banking and investment management firm headquartered in New York, with offices in Tel Aviv and Cyprus. The organization maintains deep expertise in investment banking, asset management, corporate finance, and private banking services.
This venture marks a significant milestone in bringing centuries-old investment expertise together with contemporary financial innovation.
