Van Hameren, whose career spans more than 30 years at the intersection of global commerce and athletic excellence, previously held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Nike (NYSE: NKE), where he stewarded a team exceeding 2,000 professionals and commanded a multi-billion-dollar budget across diverse geographies and business units.
Leadership Track Record and Olympic Expertise
The newly appointed advisor’s credentials extend beyond Nike’s corporate structure. Van Hameren served as Executive Vice President overseeing Olympic operations for NIKE Inc., directing strategic planning initiatives spanning Nike, Jordan, and Converse to prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games. This unique vantage point—combined with his personal history as a two-time Olympian and former professional track cyclist representing the Netherlands in 1992 and 1996—provides him with an insider’s perspective on international athletic competition and brand positioning at sport’s highest levels.
