I've been thinking about a question lately—things like private keys and exchange passwords, you really shouldn't keep everything in just one place.

Many people are used to storing everything in hardware wallets. It's indeed secure and privacy is guaranteed. But have you ever thought about what happens if the hardware wallet gets damaged? Floods, fires at home, or accidental loss? If any of these happen, all backups become useless. This is a real risk for ordinary users.

Large institutions have a complete backup system already, but what about us retail users? How can we ensure security while also maintaining multiple redundant backups? This is a question worth pondering.

Even more heartbreaking is another issue—if you unexpectedly pass away, how can your trusted people find these backups? And how do they access them? This is not just a technical problem but also a life contingency plan. Some people might have multiple backups stored in different places, which is indeed safe. But if you suddenly encounter an accident, these backups are useless to anyone.

So the key is: how to design a contingency plan that protects your assets well and allows trusted people to take over when necessary? I’d love to hear everyone’s ideas on this.

Really, I almost broke down before because my hardware wallet got water damage. Now I store it in multiple locations for safety.

Keep a paper backup in a safe deposit box, and also give a copy to the lawyer. That's what I call secure.
