Gate partnered with the Red Bull Racing team to host an F1 Grand Prix viewing event.
But this time I carefully looked at their viewing arrangements in Las Vegas, and it really felt different. I didn't expect them to be quite serious about it. It's not just a sponsorship with a logo; they really brought users to watch the game together and celebrated Verstappen's championship together.
This direct way of bringing users into the scene is really rare.
I used to think that exchanges engaging in sports marketing was just a formality. But this time Gate made me feel that they genuinely want to become an international big brand. The event was not flashy, and the focus was very clear: Gate not only wants to trade but also aims to step onto a bigger stage.
Another important point: Gate is focused on globalization and compliance. In recent years, many in the crypto space have been doing marketing, but few are serious about obtaining licenses and managing risks. Gate is different; from Europe to Dubai, they have been obtaining authorizations step by step, and they are doing it quite solidly.
Just like when you look at a team, they are no longer just concerned about popularity, but instead are silently laying a solid foundation.
I feel that users are becoming increasingly cautious now, and the platforms that can remain must either have strong technology or strong compliance. Gate seems to want to excel in both areas.
This event is not just "another collaboration" for me. It shows me two directions of Gate: one is to go outward, to build the brand and image; the other is to dig deeper, to focus on compliance and risk control.
