According to Xinhua News Agency, on the morning of October 30 local time, the national leader met with U.S. President Trump in Busan.

It was pointed out that since President Trump was elected, we have had three phone calls, exchanged letters multiple times, and maintained close contact to jointly lead the overall stability of China-U.S. relations. A few days ago, the economic and trade teams of both countries held a new round of consultations in Kuala Lumpur, reaching a basic consensus on addressing each other's current major concerns, which also provided necessary conditions for our meeting today.

The national conditions of China and the United States are different, and it is inevitable that there will be some differences. As the two largest economies in the world, there will sometimes be friction, which is quite normal. In the face of storms and challenges, President Trump and I, as the helmsmen, should grasp the direction and manage the overall situation, allowing the great ship of China-U.S. relations to sail steadily forward.
