Bedrock expands uniBTC and brBTC to the Aptos chain, opening a new chapter for BTCFi 2.0.
[Coin World] DeFi multi-asset re-collateralization protocol Bedrock announced today that it will expand to the Aptos on-chain. This integration brings Bedrock's flagship BTCFi assets uniBTC and brBTC to Aptos, offering trading and liquidity incentives on Hyperion. uniBTC and brBTC are now bridgeable to Aptos via Interport and secured by Chainlink CCIP. This will enable seamless connectivity between Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Aptos. Once the bridging is completed, users can immediately deploy their assets into the Hyperion liquidity pool to start earning yields. Bedrock core contributors stated: "Through brBTC, Bedrock introduces the concept of BTCFi 2, expanding Bitcoin's role from a passive store of value to a productive asset across multiple ecosystems. Launching uniBTC and brBTC on Aptos is a key step in this journey, bringing secure, high-yield Bitcoin into high-performance DeFi networks."
