Cardano and XRP Strengthen Ties in New Partnership

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has announced new initiatives to foster a stronger relationship with the XRP ecosystem. In a recent AMA session on August 22, Hoskinson revealed he had a productive conversation with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse about potential collaborations. These discussions have led to several key developments aimed at bridging the two communities, which have a history of conflict between 2022 and early 2024.

Key Initiatives Unveiled

One of the most significant initiatives is the upcoming support for XRP within Cardano's official light wallet, Lace. By the end of 2025, Lace will allow users to seamlessly store, send, and receive XRP, enhancing interoperability between the two blockchains. Furthermore, Hoskinson has proposed a joint event with influential figures from both ecosystems, including pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton. The goal of this event is to foster a more collaborative and unified environment. Finally, to capitalize on XRP's role in the Midnight airdrop, a dedicated XRP team will be established within the Midnight project, focusing on its commercial aspects and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
