a compound annual growth rate of 28% over the next ten years, outperforming traditional assets, with a gradual decrease in its volatility. This expectation comes amid increasing institutional demand for Long Bitcoin analytics.

Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer, noted that Bitwise received 12 Long order inquiries this year after having no inquiries from 2017 to 2024. This shift reflects Bitcoin's transition from a fringe asset to a core portfolio consideration following approvals for spot exchange-traded funds.

The company expects the correlation of Bitcoin with major assets to remain low, between -0.5 and 0.5, providing valuable diversification benefits for institutional investors. Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have gathered nearly 7% of the total Bitcoin supply of 21 million units since their launch in January 2024.

Corporate treasury bonds, led by MicroStrategy, hold over $80 billion in Bitcoin assets. Bitwise intends to publish full methodological details later this week, including comparisons with traditional asset forecasts from JP Morgan, PIMCO, and BlackRock.
