Recently, there has been much debate within the crypto community about whether the altcoin season will return. Some believe that the altcoin season has become a thing of the past. However, after careful consideration, I think this statement lacks a logical basis.
If there really is no altcoin season, it means that the vast majority of altcoins will continue to decline in a long-term bear market, even facing the risk of delisting or going to zero. In this case, only a few altcoins will achieve significant growth, while the vast majority will show no performance. This will lead investors to completely lose confidence in altcoins, which will in turn affect the entire cryptocurrency market's ecosystem.
I personally believe that a bull market without altcoin season is incomplete. Even considering that the cryptocurrency market's golden period may have passed, high-quality altcoins still have the potential for significant growth, while lower-quality projects may see slight increases. If altcoins perform poorly in this bull market, it will severely impact retail investors' enthusiasm for participating in the next bull market. This will not only reduce market liquidity but also affect the survival space of market participants such as market makers.
Unless the market leaders have decided that this is the final round of the bull market and plan to carry out the last harvest, the emergence of the altcoin season is in line with market rules. Of course, if the worst-case scenario does occur, as market participants, we must also respect market rules and bear the investment risks.
Overall, the altcoin season is not only an important component of the bull market but also a key factor in maintaining market vitality and attractiveness. We should view this phenomenon objectively and rationally, rather than easily dismissing the possibility of its existence.
