Move Developer Conference Review: A Key Year for the Ecosystem

The Move Developer Conference will be held in Shanghai on January 13-14, 2024, with the theme "A Key Year for the Move Ecosystem." The conference attracted over 500 attendees, with a total online exposure exceeding 100,000 times.

The meeting reviewed the development of the Move ecosystem in 2023, including the launch of the Aptos and Sui mainnets, as well as the emergence of new blockchain networks such as Rooch, Initia, and MoveMent. Several industry experts shared their insights on the future development of Move:

OmniBTC founder Guanghua discussed how to introduce external assets on Sui and proposed solving the TVL problem through cross-chain protocols.

Mole founder Andrew introduced the asset management platform design on Move, including savings pools, lending, and hedging strategies.

Mysten Labs engineer Joywang explained in detail the principles of zkLogin and its applications in interactions between Web2 and Web3.

Henry Liu, the founder of Obelisk Labs, elaborated on the advantages of the Move language in full-chain game development, including low cost and high efficiency.

Engineer Eric from Alcove analyzed the exploration direction of Aptos Move Object and looked forward to its potential in asset management.

Troy, co-founder of MoveFlow, introduced the programmable flow payment protocol based on Move and demonstrated its applications in subscription and rewards systems.

Overall, the attending experts are optimistic about the development prospects of the Move ecosystem in 2024, anticipating breakthroughs in security, scalability, and application scenarios.
