When it comes to bullying, the weaker you are, the more you will be bullied.
When I was in middle school, it was very obvious that every weekend there would be a small group of people, the troublemakers in the school, going to each dormitory to collect protection fees.
At that time, the protection fee (which should be considered extortion) was cigarettes (a pack of cigarettes or a carton). Back then, the price for a pack of Bai Sha seemed to be 4.5 yuan. Those with small courage had to pay every month, while the bold could have endless cigarettes every month.
I have been targeted once, and I was definitely very anxious inside. (You said I only have 20 yuan for pocket money for a week, and if I buy you cigarettes, I definitely don't want to.) However, I was surrounded in the restroom, getting ready to be dealt with. I counted myself lucky, only getting two slaps to the face. This matter was definitely not over; at that time, I was thinking about revenge. At that moment, my brother was in the same school as me, he was in the third year of junior high and was also one of those students with poor grades, a street punk. (A classmate of mine, who is very close to me, secretly ran to my brother's class to inform him, and the next thing that happened was my brother brought a few of his classmates and beat up the whole group, then they kneeled in the restroom singing "The East is Red.")
After that, I had a smooth sailing year at school.
However, in the second year, my brother graduated from junior high school and was no longer in the same city. The little thug would definitely hold a grudge, so I was on guard about this and basically rarely went out alone.
There are no coincidences. My life is quite good. A troublemaker transferred to our class from another city. He was probably expelled from a school in the city (because he opened someone's skull, which is a type of serious fighting). We got along well; when I was in school, I had a good relationship with the poor-performing athletes in the class.
Once I accidentally saw something very strange, the troublemakers in our school were all offering him gifts (the cigarettes collected from outside were delivered to me, this new classmate, one by one). After this incident, I became the accountant for this classmate, and all his cigarettes were stored here with me. Then I became much bolder going in and out of various gaming halls.
However, something happened later. The troublemaker from school knows me, but their lackeys don't recognize me. When something happened, we ended up in a fight. (They all called for reinforcements, how could I handle a one-on-one? In a one-on-one, I don't have a tall stature and my individual combat ability is average. Damn it, I lost the fight.)
There is another school behind that has good connections, and they want to take me as a disciple. But I can't handle it, so I have to borrow a knife. (Hitting the cow across the mountain, I 🈶 smoke.)
I can't suffer a loss in silence, that's not acceptable; I must regain my dignity. If you don't fight back once, others will bully you again next time.
Finally, there was a time when that dog in the school cafeteria cut in line ahead of me. Then I had another fight, and this time I won the one-on-one. (He called for backup, that troublemaker; but this time I wanted to take on the troublemaker who was covering for him. I was waiting for an opportunity for him to hit me first, but I never got that chance.)
Then I graduated smoothly after three years of middle school, and the script for three years of high school was almost the same... (Still surrounded by others outside, I turned danger into safety.)
If I can't beat you, then I'll take advantage.
In summary, the weaker you are, the more you will be bullied.
Conquer your fears, and others will be afraid of you.

(High school one against two - had a fight with a pair of twins in the class) Actually, I was scared inside too, but what’s the use of being scared, I went all out...
Smoothly passed through high school...
Don't seek trouble, but you also can't be afraid of it. When trouble comes, you can't avoid it.
Overcoming fear requires breaking through one's inner barriers and tapping into one's potential.
