The Federal Reserve (FED) will announce its interest rate decision tonight, with only a 4.4% probability of a rate cut in May.

On May 7th, according to CME’s “Federal Reserve Watch” data, the Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision tonight (May 8th at 2 AM Beijing time). The probability of a 25 basis point rate cut in May is 4.4%, while the probability of maintaining the interest rate is 95.6%. Currently, the probability of the Federal Reserve keeping the interest rate unchanged until June is 70.3%, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate cut is 28.5%, and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point rate cut is 1.2%.
