Once we’ve completed those steps, we can talk more about Bitcoin,” Lutnick said in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine.
“We’re still in the early stages”
Lutnick also said in the same interview that Bitcoin is still in the early stages. The US minister stated that he got to know Bitcoin in 2017, then made small purchases and then increased the amount. Lutnick said, “That was an early period, but I think we’re all still in the early stages when it comes to Bitcoin.”
“Bitcoin mining will explode”
The minister also stated that they have made various regulations regarding Bitcoin mining. “If you find the right place, you can now build your own power plant next to your data center. So you’re not connected to the grid and you don’t get complaints about energy usage,” Lutnick said, suggesting that Bitcoin mining in the US will accelerate and even explode.

Finally, Lutnick, who stated that under the Biden administration, buying or mining Bitcoin was treated as if it were illegal, underlined that that time was over and said, “The US does not turn around and say ‘we gave up’ after adopting something. We closed that page. We are now in a positive period and Bitcoin will become more and more widespread.”
