The 210th Ethereum core developer meeting discussed topics such as Gas Limit increase and EOF upgrade.

According to the Gate.io News bot, Tim Beiko summarized the 210th Ethereum execution layer core developers meeting (ACDE), where multiple important topics were discussed.

Regarding the EIP-7935 proposal, developers plan to increase the L1 gas limit before the launch of Fusaka. The current Gas Limit is 36M, and the proposal suggests raising it to XX0 M before Fusaka. Although the specific value will be set by the validators, it will be coordinated through EIP to establish the default value for clients.

The meeting also established the configuration specification format for the BPO fork and discussed the EOF upgrade. A developer proposed replacing the EVM with RISC-V. Considering the uncertainties surrounding the RISC-V proposal, this suggestion did not affect Fusaka's EOF decision, but the development team believes that EOF may not be a long-term execution environment.

In addition, the client team plans to delete the history on the Sepolia test network in the coming weeks.
