MegaETH CSO: Ethereum should focus on maintaining decentralization and should not give up these features for competition.
According to a report by Jinse Finance, MegaETH's Chief Strategy Officer namik tweeted that the value of MegaETH depends on the success of Ethereum. This means that Ethereum must serve as a highly decentralized settlement layer, thereby providing justification for a more centralized model of MegaETH block production. My concern is that if the policy window shifts to support centralized L1, then the original trade-off logic for building MegaETH will lose its meaning. I believe that Ethereum should focus on maintaining its decentralized attributes, rather than abandoning these characteristics to compete with fast centralized L1s. At the same time, I think that for MegaETH to achieve true success, it must explore new design spaces in application scenarios that do not exist on Ethereum L1. This is indeed beneficial for both parties, but more importantly, it can prove the rationality of architectural trade-offs.
