[SwissBorg CEO attributes $41 million loss to staking partner Kiln] SwissBorg CEO Cyrus Fazel denied that a hacker infiltrated his wealth management company to steal $41 million, instead attributing the attack to an external DeFi Wallet held by its SOL staking partner Kiln. Blockchain security expert Chaofan Shou has compared it to the CEX hacking incident in 2025. Shou pointed out that a withdrawal transaction from a week ago gave the hacker access to the funds. Kiln announced today that it has suspended certain services on its staking platform, such as the Kiln Dashboard, Widget, and API, until the current security issues are fully resolved. In a statement, Kiln said: "The Kiln team and several third parties are conducting a comprehensive investigation into this incident. We will continue to share any important information related to customers as soon as it becomes available." The cryptocurrency wallet company Trust Wallet also stated that its Earn feature is currently unavailable due to "ongoing issues with the API of partner Kiln," and emphasized that the funds held by users in Trust Wallet remain safe.
