PANews reported on April 1 that, according to the official blog, Ethena Labs, the developer of the Ethereum stablecoin USDe, announced that it will open the second quarter of the Sats event on April 2 (in this event, "Shards" has been replaced by "Sats" to coincide with the change that the protocol will use BTC as a supporting asset), and the event will last for 5 months until September 2, or until the USDe supply reaches $5 billion, whichever comes first. Q2 rewards will be boosted specifically for early adopters, and users will be eligible for increased rewards in Q2 if they lock in their Q1 holdings and take no action.
Ethena Labs also said that the new season means new reward options, including a number of new partnerships: including MakerDAO and Morpho, Mantle, Pendle, and EigenLayer points, and existing USDe on ETH L1 in addition to the new Mantle x Pendle pool mentioned above The Pendle pool will reopen on April 2 for users to access the new season, and in addition, Ethena and Pendle will collaborate to launch additional pools in Season 2.
Previously, Ethena will airdrop 750 million ENA tokens to users on April 2, accounting for 5% of the total supply.
