British media: Canada is exploring measures such as defense procurement and mineral alliances with the United States to ease Trump's tariff policy.

Jonathan Wilkinson said Canada is eager to build a closer relationship with the U.S. to support the president-elect's priorities of strengthening U.S. energy independence and addressing global challenges. He said this could include the purchase of submarines and other military equipment, as well as the development of more critical mineral projects in Canada that would replace Asian products on the U.S. Supply Chain.
