This collaboration will prioritize achieving real-time payments between Singapore and Malaysia through Ant International's Whale platform. The platform utilizes blockchain technology, advanced encryption technology, and artificial intelligence to improve the speed, efficiency, and transparency of cross-border transactions.
This collaboration marks the first time that OCBC has entered the field of tokenization in cooperation with Ant International, and will strengthen the existing cooperation between the two parties. OCBC had previously collaborated with Ant International to join the Alipay+ network in 2023 to facilitate cross-border payments between Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea.
