Goldman Sachs: BTC has pumped 40% so far this year, but gold outperforms in terms of risk-adjusted returns

Abstract generation in progress

According to Goldman Sachs analysis, BTC has pumped more than 40% this year, outperforming major stock indices, fixed-income securities, gold, and even oil, which has recently pumped due to geopolitical tensions. However, according to Goldman Sachs' tracked data, its outstanding performance is not enough to make up for its volatility. BTC's volatility return rate this year is less than 10%, much lower than the gold industry's leading risk-adjusted return rate of nearly 20%. Gold has absolutely pumped 28%. The relatively lower risk-adjusted performance confirms the long-held view of cryptocurrency skeptics that BTC's volatility is too high to be a safe haven like gold. (Coindesk)
