At the Binance Blockchain Week speech, newly appointed Binance Co-CEO He Yi shared her personal growth journey: Before she was 16, she aspired to be a supermodel, insisting on participating in competitions even though she “didn’t meet the standards.” Despite lacking a background in hosting, she proactively approached a TV station, saying, “I don’t want a salary, I’ll do my own makeup, just give me a chance.”
This stubbornness of “not turning back until hitting a wall” also led her into the crypto industry: “Gold is great, but innovation is the future. Bitcoin opened up a whole new world for me.”
She emphasized that the pursuit of wealth and luxury is human instinct, but for her and Binance, what they want to do is “make history” and turn Binance into a Big Name in history.
