As of now, Strategy's Bitcoin holdings have climbed to 638,460 coins, valued at approximately $71 billion. Since launching its Bitcoin strategy in 2020, the company has accumulated a total investment cost of about $47.2 billion, with an average acquisition price of $73,880 per coin, now boasting over $24 billion in unrealized gains.
However, Strategy has recently faced ongoing pressure from shareholders, particularly regarding the controversy over the "mNAV indicator commitment." The company had committed in July that if its market capitalization relative to the Bitcoin net asset value was below 2.5 times mNAV, it would not issue new shares; but just two weeks later, Strategy overturned this commitment, allowing adjustments to the guidance, raising concerns among investors about potential dilution of their holdings.
