April – Laut dem britischen Financial Times steht Airbus kurz davor, einen Erwerb von Teilen der Einrichtungen des Lieferanten Spirit Aero Systems abzuschließen, darunter das Werk des Unternehmens in Belfast, Nordirland. Es wird erwartet, dass das Protokoll bereits nächste Woche bekannt gegeben wird. Der europäische Flugzeughersteller führt seit letztem Jahr Gespräche mit Spirit. Gemäß dem Protokoll wird Airbus die Arbeiten von Spirit für seine Schlüsselprojekte (insbesondere die A350 und A220 Jets) abspalten, die die Werke in Belfast, North Carolina, Marokko und Frankreich betreffen.
