According to Gate.io News bot, citing a report from Jin10 and CCTV News, a recent study by the budget lab at Yale University shows that as of April 9, the tariff measures implemented by the United States and retaliatory tariff policies by other countries will result in an average loss of $4,400 for American households.

Researchers point out that the overall average effective tariff rate borne by American consumers has reached 25.3%, the highest record since 1909. The report predicts that in the long term, these tariff measures will lead to a continuous shrinkage of the U.S. economy by 0.6%, resulting in an annual loss of about $160 billion.
