Capital Group, a 94-year-old mutual fund company known for its cautious investment style, has turned a $1 billion investment in Bitcoin-related stocks into over $6 billion. This move was led by Mark Casey, a veteran portfolio manager influenced by the philosophies of Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett, yet has become one of the strongest advocates for Bitcoin.

In the past 4 years, Capital Group has focused on "Bitcoin treasury companies" – publicly listed businesses that hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets. The largest bet was on Strategy (MicroStrategy old), with an investment of over 500 million USD in 2021. Currently, the ownership ratio is still 7.89%, but its value has increased to 6.2 billion USD thanks to the stock rising over 2,200% in 5 years.

In addition, Capital Group also owns shares in Metaplanet and Mara Holdings, contributing to over 1 million BTC held by treasury companies, worth more than 117 billion USD.
