Las negociaciones de alto el fuego entre EE. UU. e Irán se estancan, Irán no quiere reunirse, y Qatar se niega a actuar como mediador

Golden Finance reports that on April 4, according to The Wall Street Journal, officials and mediators familiar with the matter said that Qatar declined to act as a key intermediary in potential ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran, making efforts to find a way forward for negotiations more complex. People familiar with the matter said that last week, Qatar told U.S. officials that it had no intention of playing a key role in the mediation or leading related work. Earlier on Friday local time, mediators said that the latest round of efforts by regional states led by Pakistan to bring about a U.S.-Iran ceasefire had fallen into a stalemate. Mediators said that Iran has formally informed the mediators that it does not want to meet in Islamabad with U.S. officials in the coming days, and that the United States’ demands are unacceptable. Mediators also said that Turkey and Egypt are still working to find ways to resolve the issue, and they are considering new meeting locations, including Qatar’s capital Doha or Istanbul, while also considering new proposals to break the stalemate. In addition, according to Iranian media Fars News, sources said that Iran has rejected a 48-hour ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States.
