Gold Finance reported that the Office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (OIG) revealed in a report released on Wednesday that the IT department of the SEC "implemented a confusing automation policy that led to the erasure of data on mobile devices issued by the Gensler administration," deleting stored text messages and operating system logs. The Inspector General's office found that some of the texts deleted by Gensler related to the SEC's enforcement actions against encriptación companies and their founders, meaning that key communications regarding how and when the SEC pursued cases may never be fully known, even to the courts, Congress, or the public.
