As companies rapidly develop artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, they are also facing the challenge of managing complex infrastructure. Against this backdrop, simplifying enterprise platforms has become an important issue. Many companies are looking for solutions that integrate tools and strengthen security, and they continue to work to strike a balance between expanding AI projects and managing infrastructure.

The OpenShift 4.21 version recently released by Red Hat focuses on optimizing GPU resources. The product is expected to accelerate scaling and migration processes and help improve AI efficiency. Daniel Messer, senior product manager at Red Hat, said: “With GPU resources in short supply, the need to maximize the use of existing resources is becoming increasingly prominent.”

In addition, demand for web-based integrated development environments is rising sharply due to security and sovereignty concerns. In a statement, Mark Sadshian from Red Hat emphasized that with OpenShift Dev Spaces, developers can access development environments with one click without additional configuration, thereby improving productivity. This trend is moving especially quickly in Europe, and platform-level simplification has become a top priority for customers.

Finally, open-source projects such as KubeVirt contribute to achieving both infrastructure simplification and enhanced security by enabling virtual machines and containers to work together. Companies can use this to reduce reliance on multiple vendors and leverage existing Kubernetes paradigms to reduce infrastructure complexity.
