VeChain launches the StarGate stake program with a $15 million rewards pool.
Gate News bot message: VeChain has announced the launch of the StarGate stake program, providing a brand new upgrade for native staking on the VeChainThor Blockchain. The program has set up a $15 million rewards pool, lasting for six months.
According to the new weighted delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, users only need to hold 10,000 VET to participate in staking. Staking participants must transfer VET from the exchange to a self-custody wallet, such as the official VeChain wallet VeWorld. To obtain the NFT required to activate staking, it must be done through self-custodied tokens.
VET holders can now use the VeChainStats VTHO stake APY estimator or the Redeno stake simulator to calculate potential rewards and choose the appropriate stake level.
