März, Google steht kurz vor einer Vereinbarung, die dem Datenzentrumsanbieter Nexus Data Centers für Datenzentrumsprojekte, die in Texas (USA) gebaut werden sollen, mehr als 5 Milliarden US-Dollar an Finanzierung bereitstellen wird; nach Fertigstellung wird das Projekt an Anthropic vermietet. Das Projekt umfasst etwa 2.800 Acres und soll frühestens bis Ende 2026 etwa 500 Megawatt Rechenleistung bereitstellen; außerdem ist eine weitere Erweiterung geplant. Das Rechenzentrum wird auf der Grundlage von Erdgaspipelines über eigene Gasturbinen mit Strom versorgt, um die Abhängigkeit vom öffentlichen Stromnetz zu verringern. Google hat Anthropic zuvor bereits über Google Cloud Rechenleistung von TPU bereitgestellt; diese Finanzierung gilt als weitere Vertiefung der Zusammenarbeit beider Parteien.
