[Interview with UXLINK CEO Rolland] Where do 55 million users come from? Unveiling the "Real World Social (RWS)" as the next billion-level traffic entry for Web3.
In the Web3 world, "user" is the measure of many values. While countless projects are still struggling with cold-start user data, UXLINK has quietly accumulated more than 55 million users. Behind it is a senior team that has built hundreds of millions of user products in the Web2 era, and the dynamic area directly hits UXLINK CEO Rolland, a top Internet technology engineer born in Africa from the Web2 era, to explore in depth how they use social relationships as leverage, leverage the growth flywheel of Web3, and their complete layout in compliance, AI applications and global expansion. (Synopsis: UXLINK will be listed on 8 exchanges such as OKX and Bybit on July 18) (Background supplement: UXLINK Airdrop Teaching is simple enough, linking Binance Web3 wallet to punch in and send coins) UXLINK's strategy is not to start from scratch, but to build a bridge from Web2 to Web3, transforming existing social relationships in the real world into a verifiable and motivable value network on the chain. Their concepts of "Link-to-Earn" and "Real World Social (RWS)" are trying to crack the core puzzle of Web3 mass adoption. Dynamic Zone: Rolland Hello, your background is very special, from Shanghai Jiaotong University student to now become the CEO of a Web3 company, can you share this journey with us? Rolland: Thank you, Alex. I am originally from West Africa, but have lived in many parts of the world, including more than ten years in Shanghai and completed my studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During that time, I got to know some of the core team members who are now UXLINK, and we've been working together for almost eight years. We have successful experience in the Web2 field and have created applications with more than 100 million users. At that time, many people suggested: "Since there are already points and rewards in the product, why not bring it to Web3?" The seed was sown. In 2022, we decided the time was right to officially enter Web3. We quickly discovered that the biggest pain point in the industry is that the vast majority of projects struggle to acquire real, active users. With our experience growing in Web2, we think this is a great place to start. UXLINK was born, and our core mission is to "bring effective user growth to other crypto projects". Dynamic area: UXLINK is often described as the "Facebook of Web3", how does its core "Link-to-Earn" model work? Why is it critical to the mass adoption of Web3? Rolland: It's an apt analogy. Because to this day, the vast majority of web users are stuck on Web2, you have to design a strong incentive to attract them. Our core concept is "Link-to-Earn". How it works: When you join the UXLINK ecosystem, you can invite friends. For everyone you invite, this social relationship is recorded on the on-chain. Your entire social graph — who you invite, how big your referral network is — is transparent and traceable. Through this model, users can earn rewards. This is not just points, but tokens that can be monetized. For the average person, this may become a second or even first source of income; For KOLs, they can monetize their social circles directly. The ultimate goal is to drive mass adoption, from Web2 to Web3. When we have a large user base like 55 million today, we can make these real, highly interactive users available to other Web3 projects that need to grow. Dynamic area: UXLINK has succeeded in relatively highly regulated markets such as Japan and South Korea. In the rapidly changing Web3 landscape, how do you strike a balance between "innovation" and "compliance"? Rolland: Very good question. Cryptocurrencies are developing rapidly, and it is natural for the government to intervene in regulation. The reality is that regulations vary from country to country, and the entire market is fragmented. We take compliance very seriously. As you mentioned, in order to be accepted by the market in Korea, we have to achieve a very high level of compliance and earn trust. We don't mind giving up short-term opportunities to comply with regulations, or even removing some users who don't comply. We never run away from the rules, but choose to act within them. We believe that regulation will actually help the market screen out really serious players and weed out teams that only want to speculate. For any crypto project that wants to go far, balancing growth and compliance is a necessary condition for survival: non-compliance will not go far; When you are compliant, it is easier for the market to accept and trust you. How will your ambitious goal of reaching 100 million users in 1–2 years be achieved through mainnet, AI growth agents and PayFi integration? What is your vision for the ultimate form of Web3 social platforms? Rolland: Yes, our goal is to reach 100 million users by 2026. To achieve faster growth, we have the following key strategies: AI Growth Agents In the early days, when we matched our partners with target users, there was a lot of manual work. When the number of users and partners reaches millions or tens of millions, manual operation is not feasible. AI agents automate this process, making it extremely scalable, allowing us to serve a wider market faster. Integration with PayFi The current on-chain financial volume is too small compared to traditional finance (TradFi). PayFi acts as a bridge, allowing traditional financial users to seamlessly transact and pay on-chain. Payments are a basic need for all, and a large number of users can be acquired through this channel. Example: Our Fuji Card is a physical card that allows users to buy coffee and pay for dinner directly with UXLINK tokens. Mass adoption will only really happen when tokens have real-world uses. We plan to build more of these values around the ecosystem in the next six months to a year to accelerate the achievement of our goals. Dynamic area: Many public blockchains and ecosystems also want to do payments and mass adoption, in comparison, what is UXLINK's unique moat? Rolland: Our unique advantage is that we don't just "want to do", we have models that have proven to work, and we already have a large user base. OUR GROWTH MODEL IS HIGHLY DERIVED FROM RAW TRAFFIC, AND USERS COME TO UXLINK TO ACTUALLY PARTICIPATE AND EARN REVENUE. So when we bring in users for our partners, they don't just walk around, they have a very high retention rate and really become part of each other's community. More critically: we are very cost-effective (unparalleled). Traditional project parties may need to spend huge amounts of money on marketing agencies, and the final effect is difficult to measure and cannot be accurately located; At UXLINK, strong growth figures visible to the naked eye can be obtained with just a few clicks. In this respect, we are among the best in the world and will continue to lead. Dynamic Zone: You recently came up with the vision of the RWS (Real World Social) protocol, how is it different from the popular RWA (Real World Assets)? How it will work and how it will change ...
